I believe that therapy works best when client and therapist have a strong rapport and the client leaves each session with something actionable they can do to make a change in their life.
My focus areas are:
Couples: I'll help you learn how to calm down and get closer. I'll work with you to integrate healthy communication patterns and secure attachments to one another. I also help couples navigate the challenges of divorce with grace, as well as help premarital couples become confident before the big day and for a beautiful future together.
College Age/Young Professionals: I'll help you navigate this new life phase as you balance the demands of school, work, friendships, and love. Adulting is hard! I am here to teach you skills to manage your stress and anxiety while building long-lasting relationships.
Adolescents: I work with teenagers and their families to build bridges of understanding. I'll work with you to build healthy habits, manage peer pressure and expectations, and work through issues of self-worth and confidence. There's nothing better than having someone who is not your parent to talk to at this age.
Alyson has extensive knowledge of LDS culture and is available to work with clients from this background.
Alyson has completed levels 1 & 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy and is a member of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy.
