Donald Bellunduno, BA, MA Candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy
Clinical Intern
Donald Bellunduno comes to Cumberland Counseling as a Masters Candidate at National University with a committed intention to support the LGBTQIA population and become an LMFT - but is certified already as a Mental Health Champion through MHFA.org. MHCs are "a specialized group of people within an organization who advocate for mental health awareness, provide support, and can direct if need be to additional resources.”
Being collaborative, present, practicing active listening, providing recognition on key subjects, and establishing a connection on issues facing the gay community as we all evolve our identities within that space, are his main tools, but he also has experience working with, specifically, gay male orientation identity issues, LGBTQIA blended family issues, family shaming, and understanding the impact of religion on LGBTQIA lifestyles, both positive and negative. Evolving sexuality transitions is also something he has experience in.
