Mental Health Clinician

Immediate opening for all Ph.D.'s and/or licensed practitioners holding LMHC, LICSW, LCSW, LMFT licenses. This is a W-2 position with pay based on billable hours and qualifies for participation in our company 401k plan.

Nurse Practioner

Immediate opening for a Master's or Ph.D.-level Board-Certified Pychiatric Nurse Practioner (APRN/RN/NP). This is a W-2 position with pay based on billable hours and qualifies for participation in our company 401k plan.

Requirements: 

  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing 

  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice 

  • Current on HIPAA compliance

  • Behavioral Health 

  • Background and reference check

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the delivery and coordination of quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. 

  • Continuously observes and assesses patient condition and care needs and reports changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate. 

  • Documents all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner whenever care is delivered. 

  • Develop, implement and update the nursing care plan. 

  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes. 

  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent risk or reduce risk. 

  • Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Cumberland Counseling policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies and the Nurse Practice Act. 

  • Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient according to OSHA standards. 

  • Educate the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies, and in meeting the patient’s nursing needs. 

  • Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession by participating in educational programs, continued education units, internal learning management skills and skill evaluations

Pre-Licensed Clinician

Master's-level clinicians in need of supervised hours to qualify for licensure are encouraged to apply. Cumberland Counseling offers several qualified supervisors who are capable of helping you reach your goals of licensure. Many of our therapy rooms include the capablity to record sessions which can then be reviewed with your supervisor. Pre-Licensed Counselors, also referred to as Associate Clinicians, are organized into small cohorts to enhance your training skillset. This is a W-2 position with pay based on billable hours and qualifies for participation in our company 401k plan.

Student Intern

Postgraduate students working towards earning their degree in a variety of counseling fields are encouraged to apply.  Cumberland Counseling offers several qualified supervisors who are capable of helping you reach your goals of graduation and subsequently, licensure. Many of our therapy rooms include the capablity to record sessions which can then be reviewed with your supervisor. Students are organized into small cohorts to enhance your training skillset. This is a non-paid position, but includes qualified supervision at no cost. Cumberland Counseling is an approved clinical training site for many Colleges and Universities.
