Julia completed her master’s program for Dance/Movement and Couples/Family Therapy at Antioch University, New England, as well as Levels One and Two of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy training program. Julia plans to continue working under clinical supervision to become a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Julia utilizes Dance/Movement Therapy(DMT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Play Therapy, PsychoDrama Therapy techniques, the Gottman Couple Method, and Mindfulness Practices alongside the Creative Arts Therapies within her therapeutic approach. Julia believes in the power of the arts to help support a wide range of mental health needs. She is passionate about helping couples improve their communication skills, discuss difficult topics, and further deepen their understanding of one another through the use of movement, and somatic/nonverbal communication.
Julia is a performing violinist and is passionate about Argentine Tango, and the healing power of music and dance.
