Kyndra Threat, BS, MA Candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy
Clinical Intern
Mrs. Kyndra Threat is currently a graduate student at Capella University, pursuing her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her ultimate goal is to become a fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in therapy for black women and blended families.
She is currently providing therapy via telehealth.
She plans to continue her education after graduation to obtain her Ph.D. She is an educator who has spent 8 years in the classroom as an elementary education teacher, where she discovered her passion for working with students and their families together to determine how they could best succeed academically. She realized that she genuinely cared about the problems that the students and families were facing beyond the classroom, so she decided to pursue a path where she could work more intimately with individuals, couples, and families through therapy.
Additionally, she is an ordained Marriage Officiant and a certified Life Coach. Kyndra was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and is a true southern belle. She is a proud mother and wife. She is very happy to be a part of the Cumberland Counseling team as a supervised therapist and looks forward to gaining more knowledge and experience in this field through this opportunity as a lifelong learner of her craft.
