I believe that therapy is a journey towards clarity and achievement. Through the collaborative conversations I facilitate, you will gain a better understanding of your situation, your relationships, challenges, strengths, and goals. As we move forward, side by side, you will develop your ability to choose your preferred direction, and the skills that are most useful to achieve your chosen goals. Whether you come as an individual, a couple, or a family, you will experience my warm, appreciative, and collaborative approach.
You will find me genuinely curious about your unique views, values, and aspirations typically shaped by community and personal make-up and experiences. Appreciation for cultural diversity developed while I grew up in Egypt, a cultural melting pot and crossroads of civilizations. Later, cultural fascination took me to five continents, and fueled a passion for the arts of different cultures and learning multiple languages. Because of these experiences, my approach feels attuned, flexible, and creative.
Some of the important concepts I pay attention to in my practice and invite my clients to explore are social justice and power dynamics, mindful practices, and personal empowerment. For me, sensitivity to social justice and the under-resourced developed through involvement in community work for extended periods. Involvement in sports contributed to my sense of personal empowerment in my body and mind. And my practice of spirituality, mindfulness, and reflection helped me grow trust, groundedness, calmness, focus, and connection in my own life.
