Maha Khalil, BA
Clinical Intern
I believe that therapy is a journey towards clarity and achievement. As a collaborative therapist, I facilitate conversations that help my clients better understand their experiences, situations, and relationships. Through these conversations, new perspectives are explored, and new possibilities and solutions emerge. Often, even new goals are formulated.
During therapy, my clients invite me into their worlds. As we walk side by side in conversation, they teach me about their unique values, views, and aspirations. I look forward to working with individuals, partners, and families from all backgrounds. It is not difficult for me to appreciate each client’s uniqueness. Growing up in Egypt, a cultural melting pot and a historical crossroad of civilizations, I learnt early on to appreciate diversity. My earlier career as a journalist and my extensive travels further enriched my cultural and human experiences.
People are relational beings. Even in healthy relationships we are challenged. But in them we are also seen, appreciated, and supported. And through them we grow and thrive. I strive to support my clients in growing and nourishing healthy relationships. Challenges are difficult, but with the right tools, attitude, and support we can transform them into a force that propels us forward towards our goals.
