Hello! My name is Melody, and I am a Master's student in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University. Prior to pursuing my graduate degree, I attended Florida International University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I decided to become a therapist because I have always been passionate about helping others as they navigate life's challenges. I believe that with the right support and guidance, everyone has the ability to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

My theoretical approach is mainly influenced by principles from Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Bowenian Therapy, and attachment theory, and I'm inspired by the works of Russell Barkley, John Gottman, and Esther Perel. I have a strong desire to help those struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, communication, boundary-setting, life transitions, and mood disorders. I'm also eager to work with the Hispanic population, given my own cultural background.

As we work together, I will create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where we can work collaboratively to explore your strengths, challenges, and patterns to gain a deeper understanding of your experiences. With this insight, we can create meaningful change and work towards a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

I'm honored to have the opportunity to help you on your journey toward healing and growth. I look forward to meeting you and working together toward a brighter future!
