Nompelelo Boucher, Ph.D. 

LMHC, LMFT, CCTP, CSTIP, ACS, LMHC and LMFT Approved Supervisor

Dr. Pel Boucher is the founder and owner of Cumberland Counseling. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Zululand in South Africa and her master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Salem State College in 2006. In 2022, she earned her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University, New England, where she continues to work as a Clinical Supervisor and Adjunct Faculty in the Applied Psychology Department.

 

Dr. Boucher has been providing mental health services in a wide variety of capacities since 1998. She now focuses on providing clinical training, supervision, and case consultations. She brings a strong multicultural perspective and humility to her work and employs various modalities, including CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT, SFT, and the Gottman Couple Method. 

Dr. Boucher is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP) and holds licenses to practice in RI, MA, and CT. She is an approved supervisor for people seeking both LMFT and LMHC licensure and provides Supervisor Mentorship for those seeking to become AAMFT Approved Supervisors.
