Valerie Graveline is a licensed mental health counselor who earned her Master’s in Clinical Counseling
Psychology from Assumption University, where she received extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral
Therapy (CBT) within the university’s Aaron T. Beck Institute.
Valerie has worked in Butler Hospital’s Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs, where
she has experience working with individuals across the spectrum of age, including programs specializing
in treatment for young adults (18-26), adults, and older adults (65+) who present with mood, anxiety,
personality, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Valerie’s areas of interest include depression, anxiety, panic disorder, grief and loss, relationship issues,
and occupational/academic stress. Valerie strives to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative
environment where individuals feel safe to share their full selves. Her therapeutic approach is uniquely
tailored to each client, taking an integrative approach to treatment utilizing techniques from CBT, ACT,
and DBT.
